Position

Marine Laboratory Technician – Guildford

In this varied and exciting support role, you will work within the Marine team to assist with meeting the needs of colleagues and clients alike, building on the team and Thomson's success and working at all times to achieve the company’s vision and values.


This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Guildford office, so you’ll need to be within a commutable distance.


Successful candidates will:

· Work as part of a project team, and able to undertake laboratory projects to a high standard.

· Sieve macrobenthic samples to a high standard.

· Conduct biomass analysis to a high standard.

· Keep the laboratory organised, clean and tidy.

· Carry out Particle Size Analysis to a high standard.

· Extract fauna from samples.

· Provide support to line managers in team developments.

· Promote a good, supportive working environment where staff feel valued and are highly motivated.

Requirements

  • Must be UK based and have a proven passion for Marine work.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • This position will be full time based in our Guildford office, you must live in a commutable distance.
