Position

We have a new and exciting HR Business Partner (HRBP) opportunity at an established and growing environmental consultancy based in Guildford. Ideally, we are looking for someone who will be predominately based in the office however we are open to a hybrid arrangement.


This is a standalone position and so this would be best suited to a qualified HRBP that is happy to do all activities related to HR including administration, employee relations, payroll, employee engagement and talent development. Some of the key responsibilities include:


  • Be the first point of contact for any HR queries.
  • Coach and advise managers on all people related topics.
  • Build relationships around the business to ensure HR has influence in all people matters.
  • Lead the performance review process across the company.
  • Manage employee relations. Liaise with external HR advisor if additional support is required.
  • Be the expert on the HR system (Cezanne) which employees use to record leave, absence, and performance reviews.
  • Process employee contract changes on the HR system and issue variation letters to employees.
  • Provide monthly payroll variations to external payroll provider and perform thorough checks of the draft payroll reports to ensure accurate salary payments.
  • Manage the HR mailbox, responding to all enquiries efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

To be considered you will have the right to work in the UK and be a commutable distance from the Guildford office.


You will be joining a small friendly team reporting directly into the Finance Director, so unlike many other opportunities, you will be exposed to lots of interesting HR related activities. The position will have the full breadth of HR activities, as you will supporting the entire HR “lifecycle” including talent development and training, support to ER matters as well as employee engagement. We use a HR system Cezanne, so any prior experience using this tool or something similar will be hugely beneficial.
