ShareAction London United Kingdom Food and Health Hybrid
Warning! Vacancy expired

Company Description

We are at a pivotal moment: the climate and biodiversity crises are deepening, and inequalities are even more marked in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The global investment system has an oversized impact on many of these global challenges. We want to make sure that impact is positive. At ShareAction we work with investors, policymakers and individuals to unleash the positive potential of the investment system. We aim to build a world where our financial system serves our planet and its people.

Good physical and mental health is a critical theme for ShareAction – whether in the workplace or wider community. Through the Long-term Investors in People’s Health (LIPH) Programme, ShareAction is delivering three ambitious campaigns to protect worker health, consumer health, and community health. These areas of work are supported by engaging investors on health – building awareness of the key issues, showcasing leading practice and raising standards in relation to health-related investment practices – and driving policy change to support longer-term, industry-wide change.

ShareAction is recruiting for a Senior Research Officer (SRO) to join the LIPH Programme and help support the delivery of our broad portfolio of work. The focus will primarily be on our consumer health campaign (nutritious food and beverages) but will also support other workstreams, including community health (air quality) and driving investor standards on health. You will ensure our work is founded on robust evidence by taking the latest information and analysis into account, and helping to produce credible and compelling outputs across the programme.

  • Supporting the Senior Project Officer in collating metrics for funder/other reporting.

External engagement

  • With support from your team, you will be supporting external stakeholder meetings (e.g. contractors, research partners, investors or civil society groups).

Internal collaboration

  • You will work closely with the Health team’s Senior Campaigns Officer and Senior Engagement Officer on end-to-end processes as well as peers across ShareAction to develop and disseminate good practice related to analysis and research.
