The global investment system has an oversized impact on many challenges affecting our planet. We want to make sure that impact is positive. At ShareAction we work with investors, policymakers and individuals to unleash the positive potential of the investment system. We aim to build a world where our financial system serves our planet and its people.
The EU policy team, which is located in Brussels in the Mundo Matonge office and part of the Policy Directorate at ShareAction, advocates for changes in sustainable finance policy and financial regulation in the European Union. Its objective is to strengthen the rules and regulations that govern the financial sector, with the goal of building an economy that is good for people and the planet.
This vacancy also supports the work of ShareAction’s communications team, which leads media and digital activity to inspire public and specialist audiences to support more responsible investment. The team is also responsible for shaping and maintaining ShareAction’s brand and raising its profile.
This is an exciting new role to help ShareAction deliver its communications objectives in support of our EU policy goals. We’re looking for a great communicator who is passionate about our mission to harness the power of investment to build a better world. The EU Communications and Media Advisor will work alongside the policy team in Brussels to develop and deliver communications activity, with strategic oversight, support, and guidance from senior communications colleagues in the UK. They will also play a role in coordinating joint communications activity carried out with members of our European Responsible Investment Network (ERIN), a network of European NGOs working on responsible finance issues.
