The vacancy for a Genomic Breeder at Rijk Zwaan

The Genomic Breeder is responsible for executing data analysis for breeders, for scouting, stimulating and optimizing new or existing breeding strategies. We expect from you to lead, initiate and contribute to multidisciplinary research, development and implementation projects.

We are seeking a Genomic Breeder with the following criteria:

• PhD degree in plant breeding, statistics or related fields
• Advanced knowledge of statistics and breeding theory
• Proficiency in R
• Industry experience will be appreciate
• Project management skills
• Change management skills
• Proven research skills
• Being able to work and communicate in an international R&D network
• Advanced level in English (speaking as well as being able to write reports in English)
• Creative
• Strong in communication, team player
• Good in planning and organisation
