Position

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to start a career in finance. As an entry level role you will be inducted into the finance team and gain wide experience across a range of roles in finance. The successful applicant will receive training to qualify as either an ACCA or CIMA accountant.

Key Responsibilities

· Posting of receipts to the accounting system

· Preparation of bank reconciliations of UK companies and overseas subsidiaries

· Preparation of fixed asset and vat returns

· Building and maintaining customer relationships

· Managing and collecting debts aiming to reduce worldwide debtor days

· Review and resolve discrepancies on customer accounts.

· Month-end accounting journals and activities

Requirements

  • Degree qualified with a 2:1 or higher;
  • Highly numerate and ability to deal with large volumes of data;
  • Proficient in excel, particularly pivot tables and v-lookups;
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the company and externally;
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to work;
  • Ability to work unsupervised;
  • Desire to learn new skills and take on responsibility when required;
  • Flexibility towards tasks with the ability to work effectively using own initiative.
