By joining us as one of our in-house Frontend React Engineers, you’ll assist in enabling us to deliver on business objectives by offering increased flexibility to handle increased workload without sacrificing the quality. In addition to this, the team will benefit from more diverse perspectives which can be leveraged to draw from a greater source of knowledge and expertise when designing and building our digital products.


This can potentially help us eliminate and prevent bottlenecks in the development process which directly translates into scaling our digital growth channels which are synonymous with the company’s digital presence.


Ultimately this enables us to align engineering objectives more succinctly with overarching business goals centred around reliability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities


  • We’re a team who are passionate about building and delivering products that offer the best experience as possible to our growing user base and as the perfect candidate- you will be too!
  • We are seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced React Frontend engineer with a strong product focus to join our growing frontend team.
  • As a valued member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for implementing user interfaces for our range of innovative healthcare products and platforms that we ship. You will collaborate closely with our team of backend engineers, product designers, and product managers to deliver pixel perfect, responsive, user-friendly software that meet the needs of our users.
  • You’ll have a great attention to detail as well as being comfortable with every stage of the software delivery life cycle; having experience with building and shipping products with a strong focus towards writing and optimising reusable code that’s that considers application performance, security, and scalability.

The hours


  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am - 4pm/9am - 5pm
  • Hybrid - 1 day per week in our Worthing Head Office (usually Mondays)

Requirements

What we need you to have


  • Extensive experience with ES6 JavaScript, Typescript 5, React 18, Next.js 12+.
  • Knowledge of modern frontend build tools and workflows such as SWC, Babel, Webpack, Vite, and NPM.
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS and CSS Modules.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience working in cross-functional agile teams.
  • Experience writing automated tests using Test-Driven Development (TDD) with React Testing Library, Storybook Test Runner, MSW, Jest.
  • Familiarity with prototyping and design tools such as Figma and Framer.
  • Familiarity with building and consuming RESTful APIs with asynchronous request handling.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Microservice Architecture, AWS, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar.
  • Any Experience with Laravel, Angular, Ionic Capacitor would be very beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills and champions collaboration.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Autonomous team player with high energy.
  • Versatile and able to cope well under pressure.
  • Write clean, modular, maintainable code and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and triage issues to ensure smooth operation of the applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Determined to be the best at what you do.
  • Stay up to date with the latest frontend development trends and technologies.
