2nd Line Support Engineer

Worthing, West Sussex

Full time, Permanent – Hybrid

Up to £25,000 per year plus various company benefits



We’re looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a busy service desk, providing IT support both remotely and onsite. Working within the support ticketing system, taking ownership of tickets, logging the problems raised by employees, providing further response/triage steps, ensuring SLAs are met through to successful completion.


Providing a range of remote/on-premise support across various technologies, including Office 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Windows Server and networking technologies. To act as an escalation point to the 1st Line Support Engineers where required. To assist with all IT related tasks and project work, where necessary and as requested, by the Head of IT Operations. The Hours


  • 4 day week
  • 37 hours per week
  • Any days between Monday to Sunday on a specific rota basis
  • Any times between 6.30am – 9.30pm on a specific rota basis
  • Hybrid – you’ll be expected to attend the head office in Worthing a minimum of 2-4 days per week dependent on shifts and rota

Key responsibilities:


  • Supporting with in-house systems and bespoke software
  • Completing data fixes to in-house bespoke solutions
  • Issue investigation/troubleshooting/problem solving
  • Providing Internal Desktop/Network/Application support to employees
  • Assist in the deployment of technologies/systems/services to employees
  • Act as an escalation point to 1st Line Support Engineers
  • Contribute to training documentation and assist with end-user training
  • To provide on-premise, remote and telephone support to both office and field staff with IT related tasks
  • General IT support

Requirements

Your background…


  • Strong experience in a similar role
  • ISO27001 knowledge
  • SQL knowledge
  • Infrastructure/Support experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Azure, InTune, SharePoint)
  • Experience working with Windows Server
  • MDM experience an advantage (Knox/ABM)
