Position

The Technical Engineer Reliability is to support the Engineering Manager to collate and analyse the technical data from aircraft systems and components in order to identify failure trends on the ASLB fleet, using this information to optimize existing Aircraft Maintenance Programmes and component control plans, enhancing the safety and effectiveness of aircraft operations, and as such secure that ASLB continues to deliver high and consistent Technical Dispatch Reliability (TDR) performances to her Customer(s)


Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible to develop and maintain the Reliability Management Programs for the ASLB fleet.
  • Liaise with Technical Engineers to identify data required for the Reliability Management Programs.
  • Liaise with Technical Engineers the review of delays and investigation reports for production of fleet TDR metrics
  • Review and analyse Maintenance Records (PIREPS, MAREPS, Non Routine Cards,…) to identify failure trends to support AMP task frequency development.
  • Review and analyse maintenance work cards (SSI, CPCP etc.) to identify maintenance trends and nil findings to support AMP task frequency development.
  • Liaise with Airlines/MRO/OEMs in order to obtain a better reliability of the aircraft components.
  • Supervise and follow-up of suppliers output (Component Shop Visit, Fail on Fit reports,…)
  • Make recommendations to ensure and improve the effectiveness of the Aircraft Maintenance Programs.
  • Make recommendations based on data analysis to improve the dispatch reliability of the ASLB fleet.
  • Participate to the Weekly Performance (WPM) and On-Time Performance (OTP) meetings.
  • Produce monthly and 6-monthly Reliability Reports and distribute within the Technical Department, Compliance Monitoring Department, Flight operations Department and the proper authorities.
  • Organize Reliability Control Board meetings.
  • Offer support with various projects in view of the optimal functioning and controlling of the Engineering Department in particular and the Technical Department in general – Identify and initiate process improvement and change.

    Communication
  • Professional communication and develop relationships within the technical department (Fleet Managers, Fleet Advisors, Planning, Records, Maintenance Control, …), other departments (Operational Control Centre, Flight Operations, Ground Operations), Suppliers/OEM/MROs, other Airlines for an effective and efficient co-operation aiming to improve overall company performances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master in Engineering or similar due to experience
  • Experience in Continuing Airworthiness, Part-M/145/21 requirements and with the specific aircraft type(s) B737 and B747 is an asset.
  • Able to demonstrate accuracy, analytical skills and is objectives oriented.
  • Able to function successfully in a pressure environment.
  • Work in an organized way to be able to meet set deadlines.
  • Computer literate, MS Office with good administration skills.
  • Good command of the English language (written and spoken).
  • Open minded, team player, developed communication skills with all levels in the Airline and with /Suppliers/MRO’s.
  • To take initiative to propose areas of improvement.
