Company Description

ASL Aviation Holdings DAC owns and operates airlines in Ireland, Belgium, Hungary, France, South Africa and Asia and is a key provider of air cargo transport services to the integrator and postal markets, air passenger transport services, aircraft leasing and other aviation related services. ASL Airlines Ireland is now recruiting a Line Maintenance Controller (Boeing) in our offices in Swords.

Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor and control the technical operation from within the MCC to ensure safety and operational integrity is maintained
  • Track and control aircraft defects and formulate plans to ensure timely rectification
  • Provide instant technical assistance and direction to flight crew and line engineers
  • Identify recurring defects and trends and construct rectification plans including in-depth troubleshooting for rectification
  • Liaise with different departments and MRO’s for service recovery
  • Coordinate the recovery of AOG aircraft
  • Formulate and implement plans for service recovery after technical delays or service failures
  • Represent MCC’s interests with other departments, aircraft manufacturers and other suppliers
  • Shall maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training in their area of responsibility. The company will facilitate this process

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Hold an EASA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 Licence
  • Preferable but not a requirement to hold a type rating on the B757-200 and/or B737-300/400/500 with recent experience
  • Experience as a licensed aircraft engineer with broad exposure in defect trouble shooting on the B757 & B737
  • Proven experience in an operational, line maintenance or maintenance control environment
  • Sound analytical & problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to work / resolve issues independently and make sound decision under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate with all levels of parties throughout the organisation, both internal and external
  • Willing to work on shift and perform overnight duty
  • Experience in using AMOS
