ABOUT THE ROLE
Salary: £45,000-£60,000 DOE
Location: Sheffield/Hybrid remote working

Due to further growth in the business, we are currently seeking a Software Engineering Team Manager to join our award-winning Research & Development team. Research & Development work closely with the Product Support Team to create cutting edge software solutions for high profile and industry-leading customers. ZOO’s R&D department is thriving – you will work as part of a dynamic, lively team with plenty of opportunities for progression and professional development. The Software Engineering Team Manager will lead a team of high-performing Software Engineers, Senior Software Engineers, and Lead Software Engineers, supporting and advising in technical decision making and fostering high standards of excellence. You will provide support, coaching, and mentoring to enable engineers to develop in their careers, as well as working alongside technical leads to determine the development approach and the technical approach of the products.

We are looking for someone who is keen to be part of a rapidly-growing and dynamic department, and help drive the business forward by achieving project goals. The Software Engineering Team Manager will also provide coaching and mentoring to members of the team, offering insight and support as well as technical knowledge.
Beyond your leadership skills, we are also looking for experienced Software Engineers who are capable of leading complex projects and providing technical guidance for the team. As well as programming experience in one or more Object-Oriented languages, we are looking for applicants with a minimum of 2 years of experience working at a Senior Software Engineer level, ideally with commercial development experience gained in an Agile environment.
