Due to significant growth within the department, we are looking to add new members to our busy English team.

Position

The English Services Coordinator is first and foremost very organized and able to oversee the moving parts of multiple projects at any given time. He or she is able to negotiate effectively with Project Managers and external vendors, and assist the wider English team in the specifics of their projects.

The English Services Coordinator understands the individual needs of their assigned clients, and has an excellent understanding of our software and cloud-based system. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment to meet the needs of the client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Have sufficient knowledge of the style guides and requirements of their assigned clients and be able to guide English Editors on their workflows

  • Understand the demands of the different types of English projects and make sure sufficient time is given to each part of the production process

  • Close collaboration with the English Services Managers and Lead English Editors to ensure together that the team runs optimally

  • Ensure that dates for their projects are up to date so that the team of editors is clear on what is priority each day

  • Give external vendors and freelance editors the required information to enable them to do the most effective transcription and QC work

  • Build strong relationships with the Project Management team, enabling successful deadline negotiations

  • Understand that it’s sometimes necessary to go the extra mile to recruit the resources necessary to complete a project on time, and find ways to take on projects even when capacity limitations are an issue

  • Where necessary, ensures that weekend staff have a list of priorities to work from, and is a point of escalation for their queries

Requirements

The successful applicant will be driven by their passion for the film and TV industry.

They will have proven experience in the below:

  • Ability to work independently - requiring minimal supervision; display understanding of how the job relates to others and use your resources effectively

  • Problem solving - identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, including the ability to foresee potential problems before a project has begun

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent organisational skills including ability to manage time and prioritise effectively

  • Confidence in communicating with people outside of the English team
