Position

Great Opportunity at Unity – Trainee Wellhead Technician

Unity have just launched their Offshore Training School and taken on their first Trainees. We are now looking to take on our next intake of Trainees so if you think this would be of interest, please read the advert and we look forward to seeing your application.

What we have on offer:

  • Combination of classroom, workshop and offshore training to provide you with all the skills and experience to start your career as Wellhead Technicians
  • All the essential training to get you started including survival, medicals and MIST
  • Competency programme to ensure you develop all the essential skills step-by-step
  • Support and guidance provided by experienced workshop and offshore staff
  • An initial period onshore to familiarise you with all our equipment and technical information
  • Within six weeks get your first offshore trip*
  • Within 12-18 months progress to Wellhead Technician – how quickly you progress will depend on what skills and experience you have already and how well you apply yourself to learning the job
  • After trips offshore you will have a rest break before going back into the workshop for more training and development

What we expect of you:

  • Enthusiasm and commitment to develop your skills and take advantage of the training and support that we offer
  • An interest in all things mechanical and, ideally, some qualifications/experience in mechanics
  • A level of resilience – not being phased by the offshore working environment

Requirements

  • Aptitude to learn
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical workings
  • Basic IT Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel etc)
  • Ability to work well as an individual or part of a team
