The University of California Education Abroad Program Barcelona Study Center supports academic programs serving more than 100 UC participants annually at three partner institutions in Barcelona.
Employment Type: Part-time, .50 FTE
Salary: €10,630 annually

Under close supervision, the Program Assistant serves as the first point of contact for providing general information to UC exchange students and performs a range of administrative and student support duties including general office and clerical support, academic administration, and events support. Requires occasional evening and weekend availability as well as well as flexibility to adjust hours to meet the demands of the position during peak times.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with experience in customer service, basic administrative work and knowledge of administrative systems including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Highly dependable with a positive attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as under direct supervision. Experience within a higher education environment, studying or living abroad and experience planning events, desirable.
