The University of California Education Abroad Program UK/I London and Edinburgh Study Centers support academic programs serving more than 800 UC participants annually at approximately 16 partner institutions across the UK and Ireland.

Position

Salary: £23,500 - 26,000 per annum + £2,310 LW

Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week)

We are inviting applications for the position of Programme Officer in our London Study Centre. As a key member of a small office, the Programme Officer provides a wide range of academic and student services in support of UCEAP’s international academic exchange programs in the UK. This position serves as the first point of contact for general student inquiries and the primary academic and student services advisor for assigned programs. This varied post works closely with the London Study Centre Programme Manager in managing the day-to day office operations and event planning for the Study Centre. Occasional travel throughout the UK and Ireland is required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree, possess knowledge of the structure and organization of UK and US higher education, and have relevant experience working in a higher education setting, preferably in an international office. Applicants must demonstrate excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills, initiative, the ability to work independently with limited supervision, and should possess strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to work effectively with students, university staff, and other business staff. Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends and participate in an on-call rotation.
