Torbay Pharma are currently recruiting for an experiences Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a key role within the business, in which you will supervise more junior team members whilst also supporting the Pharmacovigilance Manager to ensure that we are compliant to all relevant legislation.


This role is offered on a hybrid/remote basis, with occasional travel to our office in Paignton Devon when required.

Requirements

Reporting into the Pharmacovigilance Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking pharmacovigilance activities to support existing UK and International licensed products. This is a varied role working in all aspects of PV for licensed and unlicensed products. It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the drug safety challenges of a Marketing Authorisation Holder in order to facilitate compliance. Pharmacovigilance is a critical aspect and therefore this role will require attention to detail and excellent communication.


What you can expect in a Pharmacovigilance Specialist role at TP:


· Day to day supervision of junior members of the team, ensuring workload allocation

· Assist with the management of the company PV System being responsible for maintaining and developing processes and procedures

· Manage the ASPR cases work flow process from downloads to review and collation

· Co-manage the literature searching activity and associated actions

· Responsible for the preparation, evaluation, processing and monitoring adverse event cases

· Maintenance and development of PV Agreements with distributors and licensing partners

· Generation of safety reports for TPs licensed products

Other information

What are we looking for:


· Degree in life science

· Previous pharmaceutical PV experience

· Strong working knowledge of MedDRA coding

· Experience of LSA downloads & Article 57 submissions

· Knowledge of routes of licence application (legal basis)

· Experience of working with global safety databases

· Excellent organisational skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent knowledge of UK & EU PV legislation

· Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines/targets
