Torbay Pharmaceuticals are currently recruiting for a Lab Technician to join our team in Paignton on a 6 month fixed term contract basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in science who is looking to gain experience working within a lab.

About the Role

As a Lab Technician, you will be working within our Starting Materials team processing sampling, and approval of starting materials and components to ensure suitability prior to their use in the manufacture of our products.

What you can expect in a Lab Technician role at TP:

• Provide functional, analytical and technical support to the Materials and Supplier Quality Section of the Quality Assurance department.
• Final approval of components and licenced materials.
• Dispensing, analysing and approval of materials and components to ensure the quality of our medicinal products.
• Ensure materials and components are sampled, analysed and processed in a timely manner
• Ensure the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is updated and holds accurate and current information relating to received goods.

What are we looking for:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a science discipline or equivalent employment experience
• Previous experience in a wet chemical lab, either through employment or education
• Knowledge of lab health and safety processes
• Great communication skills
• Ability to prioritise
