Born out of the pharmacy department of Torbay Hospital some 40 years ago, we have grown to become a global contract manufacturer working with some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.

Because we value strategic partnership over transactional relationships, we invest heavily in our engineering, technical, quality, customer service and regulatory teams. We are delighted to announce that we have received investment from NorthEdge, a leading private equity firm in the life sciences space, to support the next phase of our international growth as a sterile injectables contract manufacturer. Over the last six years, Torbay has been on a rapid growth journey that has seen an increasing demand for our commercial-scale sterile injectable fill/finish capabilities. We supply healthcare organisations and pharmaceutical companies throughout the UK and internationally.

NorthEdge’s investment will enable us to strengthen our capabilities and expand our reach in North America, while continuing to grow and invest in our 250-strong team at our UK headquarters in Paignton, Devon.

Are you looking for an entry level role with full training? Do you enjoy cleaning and take pride in your work? We’re looking for a reliable candidate to join our cleaning team, here at Torbay Pharmaceuticals. If you’ve got experience in cleaning and have integrity in your work, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Specialist Cleaner at Torbay Pharmaceuticals you will be responsible for cleaning across our specialist manufacturing facility. You will be working across a number of areas including, sterile production, warehouse, labs and the office. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and enjoys variety.

Please note, some areas do require wearing specialist PPE which will be provided

Hours – 37.5 hour contract on a rotating shift pattern Monday - Friday

What you can expect in a cleaning role at TP:

• Uphold cleanliness guidelines across manufacturing areas and labs in line with regulations and Good Manufacturing Practice.
• Follow Cleaning Instructions: Adhere to cleaning protocols for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, covering general and deep cleaning duties.
• Assist with laundry service for cleanroom clothing and equipment upkeep as needed.
• Execute Assigned Tasks: Fulfil additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor, ensuring alignment with job grade.
• Promote Collaboration and Flexibility: Foster teamwork across departments, executing activities in various areas, and adapt schedule to accommodate operational needs.

• Attention to Detail: Pays close attention to cleaning tasks, ensuring everything is done thoroughly and up to standard.
• Time Management: Manages cleaning tasks efficiently, making sure everything gets done on time without feeling rushed.
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to adapt to changing needs of the business
• Able to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation
