"Working at Thomson has furthered my passion for marine biology. By completing benthic surveys and identifying the collected taxa, I know I am contributing to how our marine environment is monitored and used. I especially love having the opportunity to see rarely recorded benthos from our exciting deep sea projects. Being given training and support from my colleagues, who are highly regarded marine taxonomists, I have been able to develop my taxonomy knowledge and progress in the company. I’m grateful to work along such a fantastic bunch of people and I have formed lasting friendships here, both through working closely with my team on survey and in the lab, as well as on our trips to the pub." - Joanna G
