Position

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Publicity Manager with experience in the gaming industry to join our award-winning entertainment marketing agency and be part of the company’s creative and innovative publicity team.

You will work with some of the biggest companies in the entertainment industries as part of the team devising and implementing effective publicity campaigns for their releases and product launches.

You’ll need to be creative, hard-working, detail-orientated and calm under pressure.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working to devise and execute innovative publicity campaigns, from brainstorming and presenting client proposals, through campaign execution and reporting
  • Day-to-day publicity activity including asset launches, promotions, events, talent junkets, editorial, competitions and social campaign activity
  • Working on multiple campaigns across Think Jam’s breadth of clients, with a priority focus on gaming projects
  • Helping develop skills and knowledge with junior team members
  • Working with client services and senior publicity team to help further Think Jam’s games client accounts
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with UK media, including writers, reviewers, and influencers

Requirements

We’re looking for a candidate who’s capable, adaptable and able to foster positive relationships everywhere they go. Someone who’s equally at home making long-term plans and executing short-term activities. We’re also looking for a grade-A communicator, someone who’s able to craft unique and compelling press materials, and routinely communicate successes at all levels.

You’re also likely to have the following skills & experience:

  • 4+ years publicity experience, including AAA projects preferably in the videogames industry
  • Passion and experience in wider entertainment and/or brand work
  • Proven skills in creative thinking
  • A good understanding of the media landscape and trends, and relationships with key game, mainstream entertainment and lifestyle press
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritise, and a strong work ethic
  • A motivated team player, with excellent project management and planning skills
  • Commercial outlook - pragmatic and reliable
  • Wealth of existing contacts and relationships with media, influencers and content creators
