Position

We are looking for a creative Art Director to join and help lead our dynamic and growing content team. You will be working as part of a talented department, designing and bringing to life digital content and social campaigns for global film and entertainment clients as well as supporting new business adventures into brand marketing.

We are looking for a talented individual with a natural creative flair and a strong visual style. Most importantly we want you to be passionate about design and directing and creating content that both the clients and ourselves can be proud of.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Devising and creating exciting content ideas, whilst maintaining our client’s brand requirements, goals, objectives and associated briefs
  • Work with and inspire others across the agency to drive up standards of creativity, encouraging others to share and explore their ideas
  • Provide a meticulous attention to detail and provide confident, collaborative and constructive feedback to your colleagues
  • Supporting studio work across clients as and when required, particularly focused on social creative and motion AV
  • Manage allocated staff, ensuring their welfare, growth and quality of their work via continual appraisal and communication. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure alignment, relevancy and scheduling of goals across teams
  • Brand Guardianship and understanding of creative art direction needed for any client and Think Jam work
  • Creative consultation with Client Services and Producers from art direction to idea generation and driving creative innovation throughout the business
  • Run brainstorms, generating ideas and driving the pitch process for client briefs
  • Present content ideas and designs to clients
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, offering advice and sharing knowledge with colleagues
  • Drive your own development and skills to ensure you, and your team, have the versatility and ability to execute all content solutions
  • Working with Producers and Client Services teams to recommend staff for future projects based on their skills and capabilities
  • Help develop the design offering of the agency.

Requirements

You will be dynamic, forward thinking, innovative, open minded and interested in exploring new ways of working. You’re also likely to have the following skills & experience:-

  • A background across a number of digital communications disciplines, including, social and media, press and print advertising, video and motion graphics, logos and branding.
  • 2+ years experience at a senior designer level
  • 1+ years experience of managing staff and their development
  • Experienced presenter, able to create and sell ideas to peers and clients
  • The confidence to creatively assert ideas and the passion to sell ideas to peers and clients
  • An awareness of digital media and evolving online platforms
  • A portfolio demonstrating outstanding and compelling creative design
  • Experience with motion graphics is essential
  • Pro-active in approach, and with a genuine understanding of the visual medium.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Suite Software including Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.  
  • A strong understand of UX

Nice to have skills and experience:

  • An understanding of Social Strategy
  • Knowledge of the entertainment industry would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Experience with illustration is beneficial, but not essential
