Whether that’s scaling new heights at Treetop Extreme, cooling down at Splash ‘n’ Play or learning a new skill out on the water, there’s something for everyone. Willen Lake is managed by The Parks Trust, an independent charity, that cares for over 6,000 acres of parkland and green space in Milton Keynes. Our aim is to provide beautiful, diverse and sustainable parks, lakes, woods and landscapes that will be loved by the people of Milton Keynes, forever.

Position

Waterfront Assistant - Willen Lake


Salary: From £10.90 per hour (rates reviewed annually in April)


Hours: Zero hour


We are looking for Waterfront Assistants to join our team. Our Waterfront department is responsible for running our Boat Hire operation and managing self-launches, as well kitting up visitors booked on for Watersports sessions.


As part of this role, you will ensure all our visitors have a safe and memorable experience out on the water by giving safety briefs and ensuring the appropriate kit is issued. You will also undertake regular inspections to ensure all equipment is in good condition and ready for use.


The role will require working shifts across a 7-day operation, typically between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Working a minimum of one in two weekends, as well as some bank holidays should be expected.

Requirements

We are looking for flexible and outgoing individuals who are confident engaging with visitors of all ages and abilities. Experience of working in a busy leisure environment is desirable, as is holding an RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification
