Purpose

Tappit are looking for a Junior Project Manager to help deliver technical and product requirements to clients & operational teams for Tappit cashless events. They will be supporting the definition and delivery of new product offering, functionality and process changes as well as helping implement these throughout the business. As well as this, this individual will manage the planning, design, execution, monitoring and controlling aspects of each assigned project – ensuring that it is completed on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management duties

    • Gather project requirements

    • Clarify project assumptions

    • Work with team to create a plan/timeline, and own delivery dates/tasks within plan

    • Work directly with a distributed team on a day to day basis for task allocation, progress etc

    • Manage project risks and issues

    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status via reports and regular meetings

    • Ensure all governance is adhered to

    • Support live rollouts of projects 

    • Support project aftermath and deliver to closure

    • Undertake lessons learned reviews and manage these into business as usual process

  • Overall - Ensure the goals of the project are met and the business case always remains valid

  • Complete and deliver projects by coordinating resources and timetables

  • Work with the technology and product leadership team to understand current and future business goals and ongoing IT issues to ensure business success

  • Work with the technology and product team to clarify, improve and document product detail and processes to bring clarity and understanding to wider business and our clients

  • Work with wider business operational and commercial teams to set and manage expectations on what technical and product aspects we can deliver to clients and in which time frame

  • Support the wider product and delivery team where required

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or Information Technology would be beneficial)

  • 2+ years’ experience as a project manager

  • Experience of project management tools and techniques - methodologies such as Kanban, PRINCE2, Agile, etc well regarded

  • Able to work with minimal supervision or oversight

  • Ability to rapidly learn about a new product & demonstrate product knowledge to others

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Assist in clearly communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audience
