Event Assistant


Location

Purpose


These are temporary roles for specific dates and locations (please see below)


We are seeking enthusiastic, confident, and experienced event assistants to support our delivery team in executing successful events within assigned territories. This is an ad-hoc contract for specific event days throughout the summer of 2024, with potential opportunities for additional events throughout the year. This is not a full-time or part-time position.


Responsibilities

  • Provide education and promotion of Tappit services to client staff and event attendees.
  • Assist in the distribution of RFID wristbands to event attendees.
  • Monitor and replace device batteries, ensuring the availability of spare device batteries at all times.
  • Provide assistance and troubleshoot device issues for client staff members.
  • Observe device use and assist where required.
  • Remain accessible throughout the event to facilitate communication between event site offices and designated zones.
  • Assist with event setup and end-of-day processes.
  • Fulfil any other duties as assigned by the Tappit Senior Event Delivery Coordinator (SEDC).

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the fast-paced events and entertainment industry
  • Professionalism, friendliness, and trustworthy with a strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail and proactive approach
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to both staff and event attendees
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to growth and continuous improvement, with an openness to feedback
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and cover long distances
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Willingness to travel
  • Customer service and RFID, ticketing, or event technology experience is advantageous
  • Experience working in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines is a plus

Essential Requirements:

  • Based in the US
  • Fluent in English
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Punctuality and attentiveness

Training will be given before starting the role.

October 11-12, 2024 - 3x staff for LA

November 22-23, 2024 - 3x staff for Miami
