Purpose
Tappit are looking for a new Director of Sales, who has experience in the sports or music sector, to assist the SVP of Sales in designing and implementing an effective sales strategy. They will be responsible for creating execute strategy, achieving KPI's (including sales revenue targets) and driving new business by preparing presentations, attending meetings and providing insights as part of a consultative sales model. This individual should be a highly motivated professional, with the ability to ensure recurring business targets are achieved with existing client base.
Key Responsibilities
Develop relationships with key decision makers in North America to generate new business
Create new leads and opportunities, within targeted sectors and organise meetings with potential clients
Create and maintain an active pipeline in CRM in order to produce detailed forecasts to the regional manager
Close opportunities in line with individual and departmental targets
To be involved in recruitment, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of team
Skills & Experience
A minimum of 5 years experience of exceeding sales targets
A minimum 3 years sales management experience
Experience of events, ticketing, sports and/or cashless, RFiD
Experience of closing deals with senior executives within sports and/or music organisations
Highly motivated, professional and organised
Strong people skills - interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence to work with a diverse group of colleagues, good collaborative style, commitment to team working and development of good working relationships with fellow employees.
The ability to act as a company spokesperson to communicate with, influence and engage customers through presentations and face-to-face meetings
Dedication to building long-term relationships with customers
Ability to gather data and produce analytical reports
Flexibility to travel to clients across North America
