Purpose

Tappit are currently searching for an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer with a deep understanding of platform operations and a strong background in development to come and work within our Technologies team.  

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain multiple systems within a cloud environment

• Perform repairs, maintenance and upgrades for existing systems and solutions whilst adhering to standard operating procedures

• Create, maintain and improve technical operational work instructions

• Working alongside the Technologies team, provide advanced engineering support for complex application performance and infrastructure issues

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical operational issues related to the infrastructure

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in installation, configuration and on-going management of AWS solutions

• Minimum 2 years experience using Amazon Web Services; specifically VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFront and IAM

• AWS CLI, DNS and MySQL Server management

• Strong experience in Providing technical guidance and support to the development team and to customers (Platform Ops etc.)

• The ability to monitor and verify the availability and integrity of all servers, systems and key processes

• Strong experience in design and set-up of Disaster Recovery Procedures

• Data Protection and Backup of Server Environments

• A passion for technology, video applications

• Tenacious approach, strong curiosity to push the boundaries and lead change and performance

• Knowledge in Linux, PowerShell, Jira and Agile/ Scrum methodologies would be advantageous
