Strategy Manager – LATAM Nature & Food Projects

SYSTEMIQ São Paulo Brazil Natural Solutions Hybrid
Warning! Vacancy expired

Company Description

Systemiq, the systems change company and certified B Corp, was founded to drive the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on climate change by transforming markets and business models in five key systems: nature and food, materials, and circular economy, energy, urban areas, and sustainable finance.

We are guided by the conviction that all system transformations are rooted in human transformations. We must continue to bring more diverse people and voices into real conversations to succeed. We know we don’t have all the answers; we may not even have all the right questions. But we know that open mindsets drive change, so relationships, people, and trust are at the heart of everything we do.

Do you want to be part of the change?

As a Strategy Manager/Project Manager, you will be instrumental in working on various key projects in the Natural Solutions platform. You will work in highly collaborative project team set ups and work with complex multi-stakeholder relationships across the private sector, governments, NGOs, and industry bodies. You will input and lead teams on workstreams that draw expertise from around the organisation and amongst external partners. You will have ample opportunity to introduce and own your own workstreams within the Natural Solutions/Regenerative Food and Land space. As such, we are looking for someone who has experience in operating across a range of sectors and the ability to work on fast moving corporate advisory projects and longer-term coalition pieces of work.

More specifically

  • Co-create approaches with our partners/clients to overcome the perceived trade-offs between economic viability, ecosystem regeneration, and social inclusion and wellbeing,
  • Bring data together in a consistent way and perform analyses based on agreed questions for insights,
  • Develop long-lasting and collaborative relationships with project partners and stakeholders,
  • Provide strategic insights and develop practical solutions for successful transformations
  • Support these partners in monitoring, evaluating and communicating their business model, vision and impact.

Who is leading this change?

Partner Patricia Ellen Da Silva is a Sytemiq Partner and country Lead for our LATAM region. Before joining us, She served as Secretary of Economic Development, Science, and Technology for the State of São Paulo. During her mandate, the São Paulo economy grew five times faster than the Brazilian average, and the state concluded three of the biggest carbon-neutral private investments in the country’s history. From her time in government, Patricia also brings a proud record of developing inclusive teams of Black and female leaders. She also led São Paulo’s Covid-19 crisis taskforce.

Partner Morten Rosse is leading SYSTEMIQ’s efforts to develop regenerative land use models that create value from standing forests or create value with forest regrowth. We call these Natural Solutions. Our efforts in Natural Solutions combine top-down activities, such as establishing global coalitions for change, with bottom-up activities, such as incubating project developers or technology players with net-positive concepts.

Regenerative systems can accelerate economic development and safeguard the planet. Understanding the actual value of our ecosystems and how they ensure our quality of life is the key to conserving them. As a Systems Change Manager for Nature & Food, you will work on various projects, providing solutions in multi-discipline nature and food solutions.
