Position

Due to recent project awards and continuous growth, we have opportunities for Offshore Data Processors globally to support varied operations across exciting new projects in our key regions (Europe & Africa, Americas, APAC).


The successful candidate will be responsible for on board processing and processing personnel, QC and management of all relevant acquired data including but not limited to hydrographic and/or bathymetric data, as well as the production of associated charts.

Requirements

Responsibilities


  • Process, interpret, and monitor survey data within a supervised project environment.
  • Assist Party Chief with the execution of given work and tasks
  • Use and interpret data acquisition equipment.
  • Manage and carry out specific job tasks as requested by Party Chief or Project Manager
  • Assists new and current employees in performing their work in accordance with safe work procedures.
  • Trains and adheres to Sulmara or client company’s specific requirements.
  • Coordinates and communicates with party chief, crew members and project managers.

Skills


  • Good understanding of online navigation and data logging systems.
  • The ability to use data storage structures
  • Implement and monitor a data and report quality control system
  • Advanced computer aided drafting skills for charting.

Qualifications and Experience


  • Qualification in an appropriate engineering or IT related subject or appropriate technical/military experience and qualifications.
  • Good standard of IT literacy/Team player/Good communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of survey IT and networking.
  • Thorough understanding of underlying IT principles and mechanisms.
  • Must have or be able to obtain all industry required certificates to work offshore
  • Must be able to obtain a valid passport and/or visas to travel internationally in countries the company operates in.
