ShareAction London United Kingdom Banks
Warning! Vacancy expired

Company Description

ShareAction

We are at a pivotal moment: the climate and biodiversity crises are deepening, and inequalities are even more marked in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The global investment system has an oversized impact on many of these global challenges We want to make sure that impact is positive. At ShareAction we work with investors, policymakers and individuals to unleash the positive potential of the investment system. We aim to build a world where our financial system serves our planet and its people.

Team

Banks’ financing decisions today will determine the kind of world we will live in tomorrow. However, our research has demonstrated that European banks are not yet doing their bit to avert the climate crisis. Through research, engagement, and campaigns, ShareAction’s banking team advocates for banks to phase out their financing of polluting activities such as fossil fuels and scale up their financing of green assets. We partner with a range of stakeholders, including investors, NGO partners, and indigenous representatives to make this happen.
