Company Description

ShareAction

We are at a pivotal moment: the climate and biodiversity crises are deepening, and inequalities are even more marked in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The global investment system has an oversized impact on many of these global challenges. We want to make sure that impact is positive. At ShareAction we work with investors, policymakers and individuals to unleash the positive potential of the investment system. We aim to build a world where our financial system serves our planet and its people.

Team

You’ll be joining our civil society networks sub-team, part of our small but influential civil society engagement team which works to educate and mobilise support for our mission across civil society organisations and individual people. The team coordinates our networks to strengthen civil society across Europe, working together to improve accountability and investment practices and mobilise the power of investors to promote sustainable corporate conduct.

Position

ShareAction’s work to build a world where the financial system serves our planet and its people will only be achieved if it is adopted and lived by others. It is crucial to ensure civil society is part of the process to shape the future of the sustainable finance space, to ensure it truly becomes an inclusive and responsible space.

The post-holder will join the secretariat for the European Responsible Investment Network (ERIN), a network of European civil society organisations, for which ShareAction provides the secretariat.

The role involves supporting the delivery of network activities and member engagement to create a thriving community. This will predominantly involve organising network events and webinars (both on- and off-line), coordinating workplan activities and developing network communications.

The aim of the role is to ensure that network members have the resources and support required to be active, collaborative and engaged on sustainable finance campaigning. The role is also focused on delivery of a capacity building and advocacy programme on EU policy, so will work closely with our EU policy team.

What you’ll do

  • Support the team in relationship management and act as an additional point of contact for network members
  • Undertake prospecting and outreach activities, growing the network while deepening relationships with current members
  • Support the delivery of the networks’ annual work plan of events, joint advocacy, campaigning and research
  • Support the preparation of network communications, both internal and external, taking a leading role where appropriate
  • Support the development of a new EU policy capacity development and joint advocacy programme
  • Keep abreast with relevant developments in responsible investment
  • Support wider ShareAction teams with civil society engagement, where needed

Please note that this list isn’t exhaustive and the role might change slightly from time to time, and will be responsive to your own interests and development.
