We are at a pivotal moment: the climate and biodiversity crises are deepening, and inequalities are even more marked in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The global investment system has an oversized impact on many of these global challenges We want to make sure that impact is positive. At ShareAction we work with investors, policymakers and individuals to unleash the positive potential of the investment system. We aim to build a world where our financial system serves our planet and its people.
Within ShareAction, the Financial Sector Standards (FSS) Directorate is responsible for analysis and research on global responsible investment (RI) practices, and engagement with a range of actors to support implementation of higher RI standards. This includes working closely and supportively with networks of asset owners. It also includes benchmarking of international asset managers, banks and insurers followed by direct engagement with firms in those sectors to help drive adoption of more ambitious responsible investment, financing and underwriting practices.
The Senior Engagement Manager role will sit within the Investor Standards (IS) team, which is part of the FSS Directorate. The IS team is responsible for challenging asset managers and insurers on their RI practices, socialising ShareAction research relevant to advancing RI standards well as coordinating investor engagement and outreach across the organisation.
