What does a typical working day look like a Crop Coordinator Squash?

Bring together all the market information and product information – that is what you do on a day-to-day basis. You are the link connecting the international squash market, our breeding program and our global crop organization. You work in close collaboration with colleagues all over the world and you play an important role in deciding on the launch of new varieties as well as in formulating the future product development strategy. You maintain and intensify contact with customers and the market. In addition, you visit trial fields to gain market information and product information and you identify opportunities that can lead to new product development activities. Together with colleagues within your team, you advise the management on the future of squash within Rijk Zwaan.

The vacancy for a Crop Coordinator at Rijk Zwaan

We are seeking for a Crop Coordinator with

• At least a Bachelor´s degree in Agriculture (e.g. Horticulture or Biology) and background in vegetable production, the squash crop knowledge will be well appreciated but not determinant in the candidate selection. 
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience working in sales and horticulture.

Furthermore you are a real team worker, a strong communicator, have lots of initiative and enthusiasm, and your effective interpersonal skills make you succeed in gaining other people's support. We are seeking a proactive collaborator who likes getting out and about. You have sharp analytical skills and enjoy taking a pragmatic approach to tackling challenges. You have commercial insight and are market-oriented. Frequent business trips are not a problem and, needless to say, you speak fluent English (and other foreign languages are an advantage).
