Position

Role: Development Executive, International Training

Salary: €47,000 - €52,000

Contract: Permanent

Reporting to: Global Training and Partnership Manager

Standard Duties of Post

The Development Executive will be expected to:

  • Have excellent attention to detail and ability.
  • Play a role in the recruitment of international trainees in line with the department business plan for service continuity and growth.
  • Business development acumen, including identifying opportunities for business growth, supporting marketing and engagement campaigns, etc.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to identify, secure and monitor training capacity required to support the business plan objectives.
  • Managing the admission process, this includes webinars, shortlisting applications, organising interviews and issuing offer letters.
  • Foster and oversee collaborative relationships across various departments, specifically the Training and Faculties Office (TFO).
  • Facilitate timely and proper reporting to Sponsors and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as a key link in gathering and providing feedback from trainees, graduates, sponsors and other key stakeholders to Manager, to support the continuing development, improvement and growth of the International Programmes.
  • Establish and maintain excellent collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders, including the planning and execution of relevant stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Assist in the design, development and implementation of departmental projects and activities.
  • Manage and co-ordinate assigned activities, including scheduling of meetings, preparing meeting documentation, recording minutes and following up on action items.
  • Assist in the monitoring and tracking of operational and project progress against the agreed schedule and flag issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and present assigned activity updates to the Manager and Head of Function on a structured basis.
  • Prepare and present proposals, reports and submissions as required for the effective development and delivery of departmental projects and activities.

Specific Conditions

The post holder must also be available to participate in some national and international travel, as required, and some flexibility around working hours will be required in response to the varying demands of the role.

  • Proven track record of achievement in managing activities/programmes of work to successful outcomes
  • Excellent organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage strict deadlines and to problem solve
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and at all levels of an organisation
  • High personal energy and a positive approach to dealing with challenges and ambiguity
  • Open to change and can manage complexities

Required Skills and Experience

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge, understanding and experience of RCPI governance structures, activities, and goals and objectives
  • Excellent knowledge of computer/software packages
