Position

The SOC Trainer will be responsible for the management and day to day training of SOC Analysts. This includes new hire training along with supplementary weekly training. The role will include the life cycle of quality assurance, review, design, develop, deliver. This role would link directly with the ticket review process to ensure we are training on what we need to train. This role will also function as customer facing, delivering training to MSS customers. The SOC trainer will report to the SOC Manager.

Requirements


What i do is:

  • Develops and maintains training material for the SOC analysts, and feeds into the QC Academy
  • Leads, develops, and coaches a team of analysts as required
  • QAs tickets and advises on improvements for alert handling
  • Identify and assess learners' needs and put in place robust learning plans, with realistic and challenging goals, that enable learners to understand their personal journey and realise their potential.
  • Define team objectives at an individual level to support the fulfilment of the functional areas mission.
  • Ensure all playbooks and guides for the SOC are up to date (managing others as required to complete this)
  • Manage the allocation of training resources according to operational, support and project requirements.
  • Align training to business strategy.
  • Ensure the SOC is working to a high standard
  • Design and deliver customer training modules aligned to the needs of QC’s customer base
