QAA is the independent expert body responsible for safeguarding the standards and improving the quality of UK higher education wherever it is delivered around the world. QAA fulfils this vital role by reviewing universities and colleges, being a trusted source of advice and guidance for the higher education sector and UK governments and contributing to improvements in students’ learning experiences.

Position

This is an exciting time for our organisation. The legislative context of our operations is transforming as we embrace the significant regulatory reform of higher education across the UK. This is a pivotal and challenging role, bringing new perspectives to our Board in a time of major change.

This role offers the chance for the successful candidate to gain a position of substantial responsibility. It will involve engagement with senior leaders and decision-making affecting the sector.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role you will at the time of your appointment be:

  • either a registered undergraduate or postgraduate student for a course leading to an award of a higher education institution,
  • an elected student officer of a student union, or
  • an elected student officer of a student representative organisation.
