Business Development Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education Flexible / remote working United Kingdom International and Professional Services
Warning! Vacancy expired

Company Description

This is an exciting time to join an organisation with an important role in the UK’s world-class higher education sector. Over the last year, the UK higher education landscape has adapted rapidly in unique circumstances and QAA's priority has been to support providers as they meet these challenges.

We are the UK's independent quality body for higher education with a mission to safeguard and improve the quality of UK higher education, wherever it is delivered in the world. QAA works as the designated quality body for higher education in England, and works closely with the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our new membership scheme was launched in August 2019. We're changing the way we work and introducing new services to benefit universities and colleges throughout the UK and support their operation globally.

Position

We are looking for a Business Development Coordinator who will have responsibility for supporting QAA’s sales channels and delivering commercial growth in the UK and overseas.

This role is within our International and Professional Services team and reports into the Head of Business Development for QAA Global.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded with a keen interest in UK and international higher education. The postholder will share our commitment to improving and promoting the UK’s world-class reputation for delivering a quality higher education experience for all students.

The successful applicant will work with the QAA Business Development team to manage all lead generation, sales and conversion activity and help achieve commercial targets.

We are looking for an ambitious and sales-driven individual who can demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. The postholder will be confident using both quantitative and qualitative data and will be able to quickly master QAA’s Customer Relationship Management systems (including Salesforce). While sales experience in a higher education context is desirable, we will also consider proven commercial interest among recent graduates seeking to work in the higher education and business development fields.

A key area of work is client proposals and tenders, while delivering to budget and schedule, so you will need to demonstrate a high standard of time and project management skills. You will need to adhere to strict deadlines and be able to manage relationships internally and externally.
