About Research & Strategy
We are one of three “centres of excellence” within Portland that support the wider business (Digital and Creative being the other two). We support and work with account teams to deliver research, data and insight that informs strategic communications, public affairs work, lobbying, campaign design, strategic business decisions and more.

Our work is primarily built around fast turnaround, primary research - both quant and qual – and we integrate whenever possible with Digital and Creative to deliver the best service possible to our clients.
You will join the team as a consultant – which, in research agency terms, translates as a Senior Research Executive (SRE) or Research Manager (RM). The role will involve both quantitative and qualitative work, so you should be comfortable with both, but the likely balance is 60:40, so you should have strong quantitative skills.
In combination with your research skills, you will need to be adept at thinking strategically and enjoy helping colleagues in other teams put our research to good use for many different types of clients. Experience with work feeding into communications, PR, or public affairs is a will be a significant advantage in this role.
