Our learners are at the heart of everything we do, and due to evolving and expanding our operations department we are excited to introduce a new operational support role of Development Coach - Early Years to further support our learners and provide an outstanding experience as they progress through their Early Years qualifications.
As a Development Coach you will lead on the coaching, mentoring and guiding of learners through their qualifications in Health and Social Care. You will provide an outstanding service by effectively planning their progression, leading on the delivery of the wider curriculum, and supporting with their e-portfolio (BUD) management whilst guiding them towards successful and timely achievement.
Key tasks include:
.Provide inspirational support and guidance to learners throughout their learning journey
.Liaise with employers throughout the programme and provide effective Information, Advice and Guidance
·Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of wider curriculum (British Values, Safeguarding and Prevent) embedding delivery into learning
·Lead on the booking of workshop sessions and exams where required, including functional skills
·Manage breaks in learning and support learners returning to programme
.Respond to queries from learners, employers and other stakeholders
·Support with preparing the learner for EPA and preparing their portfolio for gateway
.Use digital technologies to add value to the learner and feedback in a safe and supportive way
.Adhere to GDPR regulations and all internal information and data security policies and procedures
What our ideal applicant has:
· Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
· Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring qualification or willingness to acquire
. Experience of supporting a caseload of learners to achieve their qualification
. Experience working in an Early Years setting
· Experience of creating individualised learning and progression plans
· Experience coaching learners to remove barriers and encourage progression
. Experience of using e-portfolio systems, ideally BUD
. Knowledge of Apprenticeship sector including EPA and Safeguarding of learners
. IT literate with strong knowledge of MS Office including Teams, Excel, Outlook and Word
