Our Media is part of the Immediate Media group, named one of the Best Places to Work in the UK 2022 by recruitment website Glassdoor. We place huge importance on the wellbeing, support and development of our people, and we are hugely proud of our friendly and open culture. We aim to provide an environment where all our people feel they belong, can take risks and have a purpose.
Whether you join us in Content, Sales, Account Management, Ad Operations, Production, Subscriptions, Marketing or one of our central teams, you will be joining a company where everyone is passionate about what we do.
You’ll see creativity and collaboration in action every day, as well as a commitment to transparency that ensures everyone knows how we are progressing. And we like to have a fun along the way, with a range of social and reward & recognition opportunities taking place throughout the year.
We are looking for a Videographer / Video Editor to join the team as BikeRadar and MBUK magazine prepare to launch a new content area for mountain bikers on YouTube.
In this role, you will take a lead role in filming and editing video content for the core mountain biking market, producing market-leading edits that will grab the attention of trail, downcountry, enduro and downhill riders in the UK and worldwide.
Working with a dedicated Presenter & Scriptwriter and the wider MBUK/BikeRadar teams, you will harness the heritage and authority of MBUK, which has influenced the mountain biking world since its launch in 1988, and the reach of BikeRadar’s audience of more than 710,000 YouTube subscribers to deliver a regular flow of cutting-edge MTB content.
As a passionate rider and consumer of MTB media, you will have an in-depth understanding of what makes riders tick – and the content they want to watch. You’ll play a key role in developing ideas, formats and editing style/treatment, in order to produce entertaining and engaging content for a passionate audience of riders.
You will be capable of running a project from start to finish, including pre-production shoot planning, filming on location (in the UK and internationally) and in our state-of-the-start studio, and organising raw material and gathering assets, before editing the finished product.
You will also need to be comfortable working closely with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, to deliver commercial video content.
A bit about the role
We're looking for someone who has most of the following:
We respect and value differences. We believe that when people from different backgrounds and with different perspectives work together, we can create the most value for our people, readers, customers, and society. If you are excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with everything listed in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway, as you may still be a good fit for this or other roles.
We’re striving to create a more diverse and inclusive environment and to ensure our content is representative of all our audiences. We have established five internal D&I network groups to help our people feel supported and included, and to provide an open environment for people to network, mentor and exchange ideas, solutions, and experiences. If there is anything we can do to make our recruitment process more accessible for you, please do let us know at [email protected].
We are currently working in a hybrid way, with around 3 days a week spent in our lovely purpose built offices in central Bristol (complete with barista and bike park), and the rest of the week working from home.
This role will close on the 29th August. We may close the role early depening on the number of applications we get, so early application is advised!
