Position

Our Media Agency is a division of Our Media that offers a full content marketing agency service to a range of internationally renowned organisations. Drawing on our creative expertise, brand and digital know-how and acute marketing insight, we help our clients connect with their members and customers more effectively. 

As our new Senior Brand Sales Executive, you report into the Trading Sales Manager and will play a pivotal role on a core brand within the OM Agency. 

You will do this by: 

  • Working with the Trading Sales Manager to devise and implement a cohesive personal advertising strategy to ensure maximum commercial revenue across your allocated brand and opportunities through a range of clients (large and small), PR and media agencies 

  • Significantly developing partnership advertising revenue, including identifying new products, clients and commercial opportunities to support the overall advertising strategy for the brand 

  • Developing and implementing annual business plans for the top 10 spending clients in your market sector and presenting a go to market plan for targeted new business -presenting these to the client and ensuring client buy-in and approval 

  • Analysing and identifying sector and market trends, new products and commercial revenue streams to add value to the brand and opportunities 

  • Working with designers, account managers and editors to devise and execute potential sales plans and ideas to develop revenue 

  • Maintaining a high effective call rate at all times and be consistent in activity within the marketplace 

  • Managing pipelines closely and reporting on revenue under discussion regularly 

  • Delivering forecasts as requested 

  • Complying with Our Media’s policies on diversity and applying the principles of the policy when carrying out the role 

Requirements

We’re looking for someone with experience in conceptualising, selling in and delivering integrated cross media solutions. If you can show you have a proven ability to devise and deliver creative and innovative digital first partnerships, generating substantial revenue for clients, then we want to hear from you! 

Ideally coming from a media sales background and dealing with a range of clients from small individual business to household brands and agencies, the successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of working in a role that requires strategic vision, combined with creativity and flexibility. This is a hands-on role, and the ideal candidate will be able to not only work to and impact strategic goals, but personally deliver revenues with an audience first approach across multiple brands and channels. 

This is a target driven role where your performance is not only measured through revenues but also through time on the phone, client relationships and retention.

  • Ability to demonstrate experience of pitching and delivering integrated partnerships and print display opportunities to clients in a variety of settings 

  • A proven track record of delivering new business revenue is essential as 70% of revenue will come from new business 

  • Be familiar with traditional advertising formats (print) and have a working knowledge of as growing newer ones such as reward programs/affiliate marketing

  • Strong digital advertising sales experience including exposure to leading and managing digital advertising budgets 

  • A proven track record of delivering new business revenue across multiple platforms 

  • Strong sales negotiation, communication and presentation skills 

  • Experience of pitching and delivering integrated partnerships to large clients 

  • Ability to think both strategically and laterally to drive value for both your client portfolio 

  • Comfortable communicating on the phone (or face to face when appropriate!) and able to build rapport and maintain long term relationships 

  • Able to devise, set and follow and set strategic goals and personally deliver revenue, perhaps through new business opportunities 

  • Ability to understand pricing and how to deliver value for advertisers in a competitive market setting 

  • Proven ability to devise and deliver creative, exciting and innovative digital partnerships 

  • Good organisation & time management skills, assuming responsibility and understanding when there are peaks and troughs in workload, arranging tasks accordingly. 

  • Strong business and numeracy skills 

  • Ability to measure performance against goals and evaluate results consistently 

  • Ideally existing contacts in advertising agencies and lifestyle sectors
