Our Media is a leading special-interest content business, based in the buzzing, creative city of Bristol. We're home to market-leading brands in craft, cycling, science and nature, homes and music.
We help our audiences pursue their passions through highly trusted, original content – in print, video and online. Our much-loved brands include BBC Science Focus, BBC Wildlife Magazine, Your Home, Gathered.how, BikeRadar and Cycling Plus.
We also have an award-winning content agency that works with major charities, brands and membership organisations to help them tell their stories and engage audiences better – in print, video, and online.
BBC Wildlife and BBC Countryfile Magazine are looking for a Content Creator to help us increase our output across the two brands both in print and digitally.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about wildlife, the countryside and creating content. They’ll understand the basics of SEO and digital publishing, and what’s needed to get their content surfacing in a fiercely competitive digital environment. Ultimately, we need a driven journalist who can come up with brilliant content ideas and angles daily and deliver them in a timely manner.
Primarily, you will be providing trending and evergreen content across both brands. These are the stories that happen in the national conversation where we think the worlds of nature and the countryside will have something to contribute. Sometimes this will be obvious, and other times it’ll require us tap into the national and international psyche.
We’ll also expect the successful candidate to get involved the brands’ broader output: contributing to the magazines, recording podcasts, scripting video and writing longer form pieces, as well as other tasks essential to the production process. There will be plenty of opportunities for growth.
Ultimately this a role for someone who loves the natural world, the great outdoors and digital content equally. It will suit someone who loves the feedback of seeing traffic numbers grow and enjoys creative problem-solving.

Our people also benefit from a flexi time policy, and a flexi location policy which gives everyone the opportunity to work from another location for two weeks during the year.
