Position

We have an opportunity for a newly qualified accounting professional to develop a successful and rewarding career and gain significant exposure at all levels across the full breadth of the organisation.

The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities including financial accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, treasury management and assisting with various group activities and initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for individual Group Entities.
  • Preparation of Monthly Reporting for Joint Venture Partners.
  • Preparation of Management Information and Analysis.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Aircraft impairment reviews and analysis.
  • Preparation of Annual Statutory Financial Statements.
  • Liaising with Auditors and coordinating annual audits.
  • Assisting with technical Accounting reviews under US GAAP, IFRS and FRS 101.
  • Co-ordination and preparation of materials for board meetings for Group entities.
  • Assisting in the set-up of new corporate entities.
  • Ensuring adherence to SOx documentation and processes, including the evidencing of such.
  • Maintaining a risk control matrix, (RCM).
  • Delivering Finance support on any project work.
  • Assisting in the system changes, upgrades and process improvements.
  • Assisting in the creation and approval of treasury payments.
  • Ensuring adherence to internal policies and best practices.
  • Assisting with the Aircraft deal process from a finance perspective, including preparation of papers to be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval, technical accounting papers, impairment forecasts, coordinating the deal closing mechanics from a payments/funding perspective and other back up, as required.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties and workflows as assigned.

Requirements

Key Competencies and Experience

  • You will be recently ACA / ACCA Qualified with a minimum 2.1 in relevant degree.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a large professional accounting firm..
  • Be adept at working with non-Finance business leaders.
  • Have excellent team working abilities with strong analytical, finance and accounting skills.
  • Be an enthusiastic and strong communicator, highly organised and a self-starter.
  • Proficiency with Sun Accounts is desired, but not a pre-requisite
