Company Description

Options Consultancy Services Limited is a leading global health consultancy established in 1992 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Marie Stopes International. We manage health programmes that ensure vulnerable women and children can access the high quality health services they need. We work with partners to co-create and implement locally informed solutions to complex health problems. This includes governments, development partners, NGOs, civil society and health workers. Our programming is flexible, evidence-based and politically informed. This means we adapt to changing contexts, use data to inform our decisions and ensure our approach is appropriate. Our focus is always on building local skills and systems that last.

Position

  • The role will contribute to Options’ programmes aimed at improving public sector investments in health and increasing access to health services especially for women and girls.
  • The Advisor will focus in particular on the ‘political economy’ dimensions of health, working with multiple stakeholders on decision making and health service delivery processes, designing and using innovative approaches to ultimately strengthen health governance.
  • The advisor will lead the design and implementation of technical approaches and deliverables; provide strategic and technical backstopping to other Options teams and advisors; capture and disseminate learning.

Requirements

  • The candidate would have a background in political science or public health, strong communications skills (in both English and French), and proven ability to work in multiple contexts and effectively engage with a wide range of partners.
  • The candidate would enjoy translating evidence into practical and tailored approaches, working independently across multiple teams, and master excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • This role is an excellent opportunity for mid-level professionals to further expand their experience and technical specialisation, and to contribute their own ideas on how to ensure everyone can access health services when they need to without suffering financial consequences, especially women and girls.
