The Girl Generation (TGG): Support to the Africa-Led Movement to End FGM/C Programme, is a consortium led by Options Consultancy Services, and includes Amref Health Africa, ActionAid, Orchid Project, Africa Coordination Centre for Abandonment of FGM/C and the University of Portsmouth. It works closely with the Population Council’s Data Hub, the programme’s data and measurement arm. The programme envisions a world where girls and women can exercise their power and rights and have expanded choice and agency and be free from violence, including FGM/C.

Position

The rapporteur will record proceedings during the SLT training workshop including taking survivor stories and developing a final report for the workshop. They will be present throughout the meeting to record SLT workshop proceedings. They will avail any necessary equipment to assist in the SLT workshop recording process. They will liaise with meeting organizers to get a registration list and register names of SLT participants and submit it as annex to the report. They will also Organize and present a registration list of SLT participants and submit a draft and a final report with all necessary annexes.

Requirements

  • Be highly qualified and proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution in English, literature, journalism, or other relevant field.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in minutes taking, reporting or other documentation processes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use a neat, concise and clear style in writing and communication.
  • Ability to edit documents/reports to required standards.
  • Sound experience in rapporteur of technical workshops
  • Good report writing skills
  • Ability to meet project deadlines with no supervision.
