Nepal Health Sector Support Programme (NHSSP) is a technical assistance programme to the Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), funded with UK Aid, designed to support the goals of Nepal Health Sector Strategy (2015/16 - 2020/21) and contribute to the MoHP’s efforts to provide quality health services leaving no-one behind. It is implemented by a consortium led by Options, with HERD International and Oxford Policy Management.

Position

Based in Kathmandu, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible to carry out programme support duties to Health Infrastructure Team. The Administrative Assistant for Health Infrastructure Team will have roles in supporting the team for smooth operation of the programme activities and address to ad hoc duties arising as per situation.

Main duties will include:

  • Support in updating data in Health Infrastructure Information System (HIIS)
  • Support HI team in organizing meetings, workshops, training and other events of NHSSP
  • Record keeping of documents, communication
  • Drafting meeting minutes and other reports as required
  • Data digitization
  • Formatting and printing of engineering drawings and details
  • Photocopy and scanning
  • Deliver and receive official letters and documents to and from MOHP, DUDBC, EDPs and other stakeholders
  • Support in preparing letter (in Nepali and English) and formatting of documents as instructed

The main objective of the role is to ensure smooth operation of health infrastructure activities and ensuring support to the team.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s in Business Studies / Business Administration
  • 3 years of experience in office management in donor funded programmes
  • Having work experience with government entity
  • Record keeping and documentation
  • Proficiency in MS office applications – Word, Excel, Powerpoint and email softwares
  • Draft and type letter in Nepali
  • Managing events
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Willing to travel within Nepal
