Nepal Health Sector Support Programme (NHSSP) is a technical assistance programme to the Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), funded with UK Aid, designed to support the goals of Nepal Health Sector Strategy (2015/16 - 2020/21) and contribute to the MoHP’s efforts to provide quality health services leaving no-one behind. It is implemented by a consortium led by Options Consultancy Limited, with HERD International and Oxford Policy Management.

Position

The aim of the Administration and Finance Officer role is to enable the effective operation of the NHSSP programme by ensuring smooth operation of the office. This will include administrative tasks such as managing the email and document filing system, managing incoming calls, welcoming visitors and supporting with office maintenance and security.

There will also be responsibility for inventory management, logistics support and procurement, along with accounting and finance support. This will include collecting, tracking and processing invoices, compliance with financial policy and controls, preparing forecasts, reconciliations and preparation of monthly accounts.

The post holder will work closely with the Office Manager and the central administration team; and have line management responsibility for Driver and Housekeeper staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Business Administration with Major in Accounts (minimum)
  • 5 years’ experience administration, finance and accounts in Bilateral Programme and NGO/INGOs
  • Good knowledge of legal and taxation laws
