Off Grid Electric is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to pprovide analytical support for Off Grid Electric’s FP&A, Finance, and Corporate Development efforts, including shareholder reporting. Responsibilities related to the role are:

  • Provide analytical support for country organization;
  • Develop and maintain standardized FP&A tools;
  • Manage country performance review process;
  • Manage compliance lender reporting;
  • Monitor and forecast covenants for entire OGE debt portfolio;
  • Maintain data room for potential lenders;
  • Support Sr. corporate financial analyst with insightful reporting as required;
  • Manage ongoing shareholder reporting;
  • Prepare concise and meaningful board presentation materials.


  • Msc/Bsc degree in Finance, including a relevant post graduate qualification e.g. CA, CPA;
  • 1-2 years’ Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience;
  • Ability to understand the business, operations strategy and reflect that understanding in external and internal communication both quantitatively and qualitatively;
  • Advanced modeling experience and advanced analytical skills and business understanding;
  • Experience or Internship(s) in investment banking, corporate finance, or accounting;
  • Very strong skills in Microsoft Excel including advance knowledge of financial formulas, pivot tables, and macros;
  • Strong skills in other Microsoft applications, such as PowerPoint;
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software, preferably NetSuite;
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and the creation of financial statements;
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized and ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines and effectively working under time pressure;
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees;
  • Ability to present to senior management clearly and concisely articulating complex issues;
  • Self-Starter and Desire to make a difference to the lives of the rural poor in Africa
  • Analytical and negotiating skills;
  • Attention to detail and deadline driven.
