Position

Role Purpose

  • Be the first point of contact for new and potential supporters approaching the business directly (i.e. not via sales team). Via telephone engagement, establish the needs and wants of the new contacts to ensure the most appropriate Marlborough funds are introduced and secure meeting leads for the Business Development Managers.
  • Support the Marlborough Group Distribution Team.
  • Provide support with operational, technical and sales queries.
  • Build relationships with our supporters and suspect clients via regular contact, promoting the Marlborough Group Capabilities.
  • Follow up on leads generated by the marketing strategy, research the new leads and pass on to sales team as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review supporter activity (including sales, redemptions, enquiries and general correspondence) via the CRM system, report findings to management and to sales teams as appropriate.
  • Maintain CRM system ensuring accurate and timely inclusion of all required information and activity.
  • Provide standard fund and performance reporting to sales team and supporters as required.
  • Provide pre meeting support to the sales team with information, supporter details, provision of literature and materials.
  • Assist the sales team to ensure post-meeting information is accurately and promptly recorded on the CRM system.
  • Accurately record and consolidate feedback and market intelligence from supporters and the sales team to enable the business to make informed decisions when considering entry into new markets or distribution channels.
  • Support the sales and marketing teams by helping plan events e.g. webinars, fund manager events, conference attendance etc.

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge/interest of investments

Essential Qualifications

  • 5 GCSE's grades A-C or equivilent including maths and English

Beneficial Qualifications

  • IOC (Investment Operations Certificate) qualification (or willingness to undertake)
  • A Level's in a relevent subject such as Economics or similar
  • Degree or equivalent

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of working in a sales and marketing environment

Beneficial Experience:

  • Experience of working in a similar investment environment
