Marlborough Fund Managers Limited was formed in 1986. The wider Marlborough Group consists of a number of businesses which provide products and services in the Financial Services arena. The Group continues to see strong positive organic growth and will look to continue to expand through further acquisitions where this is viable. The Marlborough Group has in excess of £11 Billion under management in a mixture of unit trusts, open ended investment companies (OEICs) and discretionary management portfolios.

Position

The Marketing and Communications Manager will take ultimate responsibility in planning and delivering the Group’s marketing and communications.  The role provides the opportunity to support the implementation and management of the digital marketing platform.  Ongoing responsibilities will be to manage the marketing and communications plan across the Group and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop and approve new content to Group and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Plan
    • Plan and deliver marketing communications and content in line with Group Objectives
    • Marketing platform analysis and reporting
    • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels and areas of expertise and compiling this information into a cohesive and clear review.
    • Review of competitors and financial trade press for proactive suggestions including their Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs of competitors for ideas

 

  • Operational management
    • Support, develop and manage the marketing team members including; one to ones, target and objective setting.

 

  • Customer Communications
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to produce and distribute content for the digital marketing strategy and general investor communications.  Development of the customer journey / strategy via marketing automation.

 

  • MI from monthly meetings.
    • Research what are competitors doing and using the digital platform gain information working with sales team to maximise opportunities.

 

  • Presentations. 
    • Ongoing review of existing literature and sales collateral including KIIDs and information presentations for the relationship managers.

 

 

Requirements

Skills Required

Proven ability to apply creative skills in a constructive and well planned manner

Strong literacy & communication

Comfortable working closely with a range of stakeholders across the business

Comfortable with a range of design packages

People management experience.

 

Qualifications

CIM qualified and/or marketing degree

 

Experience

Minimum 2 years related experience

Proven record in B2B communication.

Experience within regulatory financial services environment an advantage but not essential for the right person

Managing campaigns

Responsibility for generating content

Digital automation package

Adobe Creative Cloud
