Marlborough Fund Managers Limited was formed in 1986. The wider Marlborough Group consists of a number of businesses which provide products and services in the Financial Services sector. The Group continues to see strong positive organic growth and will look to continue to expand through further acquisitions where this is viable. The Marlborough Group has in excess of £10 billion of assets under management in a mixture of unit trusts, open ended investment companies (OEICs) and discretionary management portfolios.
Joining the Group Finance department, which is responsible for the production of consolidated accounts for the group as well as other monthly and quarterly consolidated reports. The team is also responsible for managing the production of the subsidiaries’ statutory and management accounts. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will sit in the Analysis team within the Group Finance department. Main responsibilities will be as follows:
The ideal candidate will be a graduate ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, preferably with audit or direct experience within the financial services industry. They will be technically strong with good analytical skills and will have proactive problem solving skills, including an ability to build productive relationships with other departments. Preferred candidates will have an interest in additional qualifications such as those relevant to the collective investment industry.
Training to be undertaken
The training to be undertaken would be agreed with the successful candidate but would include undertaking the Investment operations Certificate (CISI IOC) as well as attendance at other relevant training course and workshops.
